Our Indigenous Health Worker provides clinical and primary health care for individuals, families and community groups including specialty areas of drug and alcohol, mental health, diabetes and eye and ear health.
Our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Worker also has a strong passion for mentoring and helps annually to run the Indigenous Youth Camp.

CULTURAL AWARENESS TRAINING
Recognition and Awareness
This Two Day Training Session is run by two Qualified Cultural Awareness Trainers who deliver a facilitated True, Independent and up to date Cultural Awareness Program to Government Departments and businesses.
Our Torres Strait Islander Facilitator descends from Ugar, Erub and Mer Islands.
Our Aboriginal Facilitator descends from Ku Ku Yulinji, Yidinji and Sabai Island and is a direct decendant of Ye-nie-e The King Of Cairns QLD.
We also do group sessions for personal development.
Mental Health Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Support
My role is to motivate my clients into employment and advice of all Community outlets at their disposal as well as addressing housing, finance, and family issues. I help connect customers and community groups to the departmental services, payments and programmes and assist them to access mainstream channels where appropriate.
I believe I have a demonstrated understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health, and an ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with people suffering, due to having grown up in a heavily populated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
I can recognise certain behavioural patterns and empathise the issues effecting Mental Health Communities and effectively be able to cultural broker between communities and mainstream being Torres Strait Islander Decent and recognised in Aboriginal Communities.
I believe I can connect on a deeper level of understanding and mentor anyone suffering or being raised in broken or abusive homes, as I have learned the techniques needed to not only cope but live a happy and healthy life.

POLICY DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
As a Qualified Policy and Projects Officer, I am responsible for the drafting of policy documents and project materials. This involves analysis of existing data sources to inform strategies, policy, and programs on a range of mental health issues in consultation with business members and other relevant stakeholders.
I possess well developed research skills, with the ability to undertake literature reviews and other research methodologies. I have excellent interpersonal skills and have the knowledge and ability to work within an advocacy and community development framework.
I am highly organised and confident in my ability to manage competing priorities in order to ensure deadlines are met.
